WATER CORPORATION —
CHAIRMAN — RESIGNATION
61. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the minister representing the
Minister for Water:
I refer to two of the answers that
the minister gave yesterday to my questions about the events of the first 15 days
of this year, which led to the resignation of the now ex-chairman of the Water
Corporation.
(1) Why did the
minister's chief of staff communicate with the deputy chair of the
Water Corporation board instead of the chairman of the board during the
aforementioned period?
(2) At what times
and on which dates during the aforementioned period did the minister's
chief of staff discuss ''several matters including the unresolved issues
between the Water Corporation board and the former chairman''?
(3) What were the
''unresolved issues between the Water Corporation board and the former
chairman'' to which the minister referred?
