TRANSPERTH — SOUTH YUNDERUP
918. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
(1) Has the
minister been asked to investigate why Transperth bus services to the South
Yunderup area are not well patronised?
(2) If so, how was the investigation conducted?
(3) What has the investigation concluded?
(4) What changes will the minister recommend to improve
patronage?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) The member
for Murray–Wellington has made the minister aware of issues relating to
public transport in his electorate.
(2)–(4)
The expansion of Transperth services into South Yunderup was secured by the
member for Murray–Wellington several years ago, after ongoing
discussions with the Public Transport Authority. As is standard practice across
the public transport network, patronage is reviewed by Transperth network
planners regularly and improvements made as demand increases.
