STATE BUDGET 2024–25 — HEALTH —
REGIONAL CAPITAL WORKS PROGRAM
315. Ms M. BEARD to the Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question.
Given the long wait that these hospitals have had, when will the minister make
a firm commitment—or is she afraid to—that this infrastructure
that they expect will be delivered?

I
am keen to understand—I am sure it will be illuminated in estimates—where
the member is reading these figures from. I will highlight a few
regional commitments that are in this year's budget. There is $10.4 million
for Albany Health Campus; $451 million for Bunbury Regional Hospital—that
is half a billion dollars; $14.7 million for Collie Hospital; $166 million for
Geraldton Health Campus, including $2 million for the hospital co-location; $48
million for Meekatharra Hospital; $26 million for Laverton Hospital; $2.3 million
for Pilbara renal patients; $31 million for
primary health care in remote Indigenous communities; $7.7 million for the
Karratha step-up, step- down facility; and $32.8 million for Tom Price
Hospital. Where is the member getting her numbers from if it is not from the
actual budget?
