My question has been nicknamed ZZZ### ZZZDorothy '' by the Leader of the Opposition.
Hon Sue Ellery : It is the new boy band from south metro!
Hon SIMON O'BRIEN : I will try to contain the memberXXX ###XXXs excitement!
I refer to recommendation 1 of the
thirty-fifth report of the Standing Committee on Environment and Public AffairsXXX ###XXX inquiry into the sandalwood industry.
(1) Has the
government reviewed or commenced a review of the Sandalwood (Limitation of Removal
of Sandalwood) Order 1996 with a view to reducing the quantity of sandalwood
that may be harvested from both crown and private land?
(2) If yes to
(1), what conclusions have been reached?
(3) If no to
(1), should such inaction be taken to indicate that the government does not
share a sense of urgency about this matter?
