I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (1) Official supported accommodation assistance program data for this period is not yet available. Data for turn-away rates for 2006-07 is expected to be released in July-August. (2) Yes. (3) Victims of domestic family violence can access emergency assistance from the Department for Child Protection during office hours and from the Crisis Care Unit after hours. If there are no vacancies, the department will pay for overnight accommodation and conduct an assessment the following day. Women escaping domestic family violence may also receive assistance with transportation to stay with a friend or relative or to leave town if they are in danger.
