(b) what other proposals for culture and the arts funding this financial year has the Minister received seeking RftR funds and will the Minister to table all these applications;
(c) which applications has the Minister refused; and
(d) which applications has the Minister approved?

(a)The Regional Development Council (RDC) advises that the proposal was not recommended for funding under the RDC 2011 Action Agenda Funding Scheme as the RDC has been awaiting the outcome of the Department for Culture and the Arts' state-wide Cultural Infrastructure Directions Study.
(b) There have been 22 requests seeking Royalties for Regions funding for this financial year to support arts and culture related projects.
- 19 applications were received for the RDC 2011 Action Agenda Funding Scheme. Successful applications were:
1. Halls Creek Community Art, Crafts and Cultural Activities Facility - $623,178
2. Country Music and Arts Centre for Excellence - $600,129
Details of unsuccessful applications are not normally released as applications are made in confidence. However there is a right of access to records held by State Government agencies under the
Freedom of Information Act 1992
which has provisions for third party consultation.
- Two applications were made through the Country Local Government Fund and approved. These projects are:
1. Redevelopment of the Katanning Town Hall into a 380 seat regional entertainment centre - $268,410
2. Development of music festival venues in Boyup Brook and Bridgetown - $241,389
- One application was made through the Regional Community Services Fund and approved:
1. Regional Simulcast of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra - $250,000
The $40m Royalties for Regions funded Regional Events Program administered by Tourism WA includes funding in 2011/12 to 2015/16 for a number of culture and arts activities such as Cinefest Oz. A list of approved projects is available upon request.
As part of the Tourism Regional Events Scheme funding, an amount of $300,000 was approved in 2011/12 for a number of projects which compliment culture and arts activities. A full list of the funded project can be provided upon request.
(c) No recommended applications have been refused.
