CANNABIS — DRIVER IMPAIRMENT STUDY
770. Hon Dr BRIAN WALKER to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I draw members' attention to
the fact that, on the advice of its own expert panel, Germany has now set an
unambiguous limit of 3.5 nanograms of THC per millilitre of blood for drivers,
alongside a complete ban on the simultaneous use of cannabis and alcohol for
those behind the wheel.
(1) Has the
ministerial working group on medicinal cannabis and safe driving met since the
minister replied to my question on 14 May; and, if not, why not?
(2) When it next meets, will the minister table the
German model for its consideration; and, again, if not, why not?
