I refer to the Housing Authority's 2018-19 Annual Report, page
100, regarding the extent to which the Housing Authority is responsive to the
housing needs of eligible Western Australians, and I ask: (a) How many individuals are on the public rental waiting
list in Geraldton; (b) How many individuals are on the public rental waiting
list in the Midwest; and (c) How many public housing properties are owned by the
Housing Authority in Geraldton: (i) How many of the properties listed in (c) are occupied; (ii) How many of the properties listed in (c) are
vacant; (iii) Of the properties that are listed as vacant, can the Minister please provide a table outlining the reasons for the
vacancy of these properties and state how many properties are vacant due to
each reason; and (iv) Can the Minister outline the short and long term
plans to ensure vacant public housing properties in Geraldton get filled as
quickly as possible?

Waitlist data is captured by a ‘preference zone’ (in this case, Geraldton), whereas stock is provided by area office/region (in this case, the Geraldton area office).
The Geraldton area office includes the towns/suburbs of Beachlands, Beresford, Bluff Point, Carnamah, Cervantes, Coorow, Dongara, Drummond Cove, Geraldton, Glenfield, Jurien Bay, Kalbarri, Karloo, Leeman, Mahomets Flats, Mingenew, Moonyoonooka, Morawa, Mount Tarcoola, Mullewa, Northampton, Perenjori, Port Denison, Rangeway, Spalding, Sunset Beach, Tarcoola Beach, Three Springs, Utakarra, Waggrakine, Wandina, Webberton, Wonthella and Yalgoo.
