(a) The Western Australia Police Force is unable to provide a response to the number of bladed weapon assaults. Manual interrogation of each incident would be required to determine if each assault was bladed weapon related. The WA Police Force has provided the following data to provide an update on the status of the Cook Labor Government's tough new knife laws:
