IRON ORE INDUSTRY - MID-WEST
I have a supplementary question. Does the minister share the concerns of the mid-west community that the delay in start-up time could jeopardise these projects and thus the future of the mid-west? Mr J.J.M. BOWLER

AnswerView source ↗

As Minister for Resources and Assisting the Minister for State Development, I want to make sure that resource developments proceed without any delay. At the same time, I am mindful of the fact that we must always consider social and environmental issues. We are doing the study to make sure that we do everything in a planned situation. The expansion of the iron ore industry in the mid-west is astronomical. The industry will continue to expand, and this government will make sure that happens.
