QuestionView source ↗
(1) Prior to 26 February 2005, did the Mundaring volunteer fire brigade provide the minister with information regarding response times from the proposed new facility in the Mundaring industrial area? (2) Did that information indicate that the time studies showed times of between 13.5 and 14 minutes for a six-member crew to get from home to the proposed station and then to the aged care facility in town without using the proposed access road? (3) Did the Fire and Emergency Services Authority undertake separate response time tests prior to 11 August? (4) If yes, how were these undertaken? In particular - (a) Did a FESA staff member admit to a Mundaring fire brigade member that he did 60 kilometres an hour in a 50-kilometre-an-hour zone? (b) How many crew members were timed through a change in traffic lights? (c) What route was used for these tests? (5) Why have FESA results never been provided to the Mundaring volunteer fire brigade members? (6) Have further response time tests been undertaken by FESA since 11 August? (7) If yes, why were these not provided to the Mundaring volunteer fire brigade members? (8) Will the minister provide the Mundaring volunteer fire brigade members with the results and methodology? I do not mind if the answer is tabled. The PRESIDENT : I think the house would appreciate that. Members, it is often not a good idea to have questions that are too lengthy, because it limits the number of questions that can be asked. Hon KIM CHANCE
