I refer to the Premier’s statement of 10 March, 2009 in which he announced that, ‘We aim to reduce the number of boards and committees to around 500. Interestingly, we do not know exactly how many boards and committees currently exist - that is an issue in itself but there are at least 1000. Boards and committees play an important role in providing advice to government but we must examine how many of them have outlived their relevancy and usefulness, and ask -
(1) Can the Premier advise the number of boards for each Agency, as at 12 August 2009,for the office of -
(a) Premier; State Development;
(b) Health; Indigenous Affairs;
(c) Mines and Petroleum; Fisheries; Electoral Affairs;
(d) Regional Development; Lands; Minister Assisting the Minister for State Development; Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport;
(e) Education; Tourism;

(g) Treasurer; Commerce; Science and Innovation; Housing and Works;
