I thank the member for some notice
of this question.
The Environmental Protection
Authority released its report 1443 ''Forest Management Plan 2004–13—end
of term audit of performance report'' in June 2012. The report fulfils a
requirement under the ministerial approval statement for the ''Forest
management plan 2004–13'' for the EPA to provide public reports
to the minister on the mid-term and end-of-term audits. The report of the EPA
on the end-of-term audit of performance report identified issues that the EPA
considered needed to be addressed as part of the development of the next forest
management plan. This has occurred in the development of the draft ''Forest
management plan 2014–23'', which is open for public comment
until 7 November 2012.
