For each department and agency within the Minister’s portfolios, since 10 March 2011:
(a) how many vehicles are allocated to the department or agency;
(b) what washing arrangements are provided for each vehicle;
(c) if any vehicle is commercially cleaned, please advise:
(i) the cost breakdown for each vehicle and cleaning bill;
(ii) how often each vehicle is booked in to be commercially cleaned;
(iii) the address where the vehicle is cleaned; and
(iv) whether vehicles are cleaned during office hours;
(d) what detailing arrangements are provided for each vehicle;
(e) if any vehicle is commercially detailed, please advise:
(i) the cost breakdown for each vehicle and cleaning bill;
(ii) how often each vehicle is booked in to be commercially cleaned;
(iii) the address where the vehicle is cleaned; and
(iv) whether vehicles are detailed during office hours; and
(f) can the Minister please provide a subtotal of a vehicle’s cleaning costs for each department or agency?

Department of Education
(a) As at 1 November 2011, 674 vehicles were allocated to the Department of Education.
(b) Some operational vehicles have car wash access on fuel cards whilst others are washed at Central Office, 151 Royal Street, EastPerth. No Senior Officer Vehicle Scheme vehicles are washed. This is the responsibility of the officer.
(c)(i) [see tabled paper no.] for washing and cleaning costs.
(c)(ii) Central Office pool vehicles are washed weekly. Outstation vehicles that have car wash access on fuel cards are cleaned as required.
(c)(iii) Central Office pool vehicles are washed at Central Office, 151 Royal Street, EastPerth; and outstation vehicles can be washed at various locations.
(c)(iv) Vehicles may be washed during office hours if not in use.
(d)-(e)(iv) Vehicles are not detailed. However, remote area vehicles are commercially cleaned externally and internally as the interiors become heavily soiled due to the environment in which they operate. These items are included in (c)(i) above.
(f) Refer to tabled paper.
Country High School Hostels Authority
(a) As at 1 November 2011, two vehicles were allocated to the Country High School Hostels Authority.
(b) Vehicle 1: driver washes vehicle (car wash option on fuel card)
Vehicle 2: driver washes vehicle (no car wash option on fuel card)
(c)(i-iv) Not applicable. No vehicles commercially cleaned.
(d) None.
(e)(i-iv) Not applicable.
(f) Nil.
Public Education Endowment Trust
(a) No vehicles were allocated to the Public Education Endowment Trust
(b)-(f) Not applicable.
Curriculum Council of WA
(a) As at 1 November 2011, 12 vehicles are allocated to Curriculum Council
(b) Garaging officers are required to clean vehicles.
(c) No vehicles commercially cleaned during this period.
(d)-(f) Not applicable.
Department of Education Services
(a) As at 1 November 2011, nine vehicles were allocated to the Department of Education Services.
(b) Five vehicles are allocated a car wash option on the fuel card. Four vehicles are washed by their drivers at their own expense.
(c) Not applicable.
(d) None.
(e) Not applicable.
(f) Of the five vehicles allocated a car wash option, three had costs as follows:
