Hon Ken Travers asks WA Police about recorded incidents of rock throwing at vehicles, including locations and prosecutions. The Police respond that their database doesn't specifically record rock throwing, but rather offences under Section 74B(2)(a) of the Criminal Code, which doesn't differentiate by object type.

The Western Australia Police database does not record offences relating specifically to damage by rock throwing.
Section 74B(2)(a) of the
Criminal Code
makes it an offence to cause an object or substance to be directed at or near a vehicle that is being driven. As a result, offences recorded against this subsection are not differentiated by object type.
