ANIMAL WELFARE ACT — REVIEW
446. Hon RICK MAZZA to the Minister for Agriculture and Food:
I refer to the ministerial statement made yesterday, 8 May,
about the animal welfare review panel.
(1) What was the process and criteria for the selection of
the panel?
(2) Considering
the minister's desire to achieve gender diversity quotas in biosecurity
management positions, why is only one man on this five-member panel?

(1)–(2)
I am afraid that the member is showing his lack of exposure to diversity in the
community, because he is obviously of the
view that Dr Dominique Blache is a female. I assure the member that Dr
Dominique Blache is actually a male.
