JOONDALUP HEALTH CAMPUS
334. Mr S.K. L'ESTRANGE to the Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. Why
is the minister walking away from his promise to commit funding for this
important project, and why will the minister not match the Morrison Liberal
government's commitment to upgrade Joondalup Health Campus?
Ms S.E. Winton interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for
Wanneroo, I call you to order for the second time.

We are delivering on our commitment.
That gives me an opportunity to talk about the stroke unit that we committed to
the people in the northern suburbs. As people would be aware, people in
Joondalup and beyond have to travel all the way down to Sir Charles Gairdner
Hospital to get stroke treatment and rehabilitation. We have developed a 12-bed
stroke unit there, which has a therapy space next to it. That has been widely
welcomed by the people of Joondalup and the northern suburbs. It is very
pleasing that the members for Joondalup, Girrawheen and Joondalup get the
credit for advocating for this important new development. We are already ahead
of it. We are already getting on with the job. All we need now is a commonwealth
government that can work with us to actually deliver on this project.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members!
Mr R.H. COOK : After 18 May, member, we will have a commonwealth
government we can work with and a commonwealth government that will actually
deliver for the people of Western Australia.
Mr S.K. L'Estrange interjected.
The SPEAKER : Are you finished, member?
