(1) How many teachers have been subject to disciplinary procedures in 2008 - 2009?
(2) How many of these teachers have received an order under section 240(1) of the
School Education Act 1999
?
(3) How many disciplinary matters have been instigated due to criminal charges having been laid?
(4) How many disciplinary matters have been continued despite the criminal charges having been dropped?
(5) What is the average length of a disciplinary procedure?
(6) In the cases under (4), how long does it take on average after the criminal charges have been dropped until the completion of the disciplinary matter?

(1) From 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009 one hundred and fifty eight fixed term and permanent teachers are identified as having been subject to disciplinary procedures.
(2) Seven.
(3) The Department is unable to ascertain which disciplinary matters have been instigated directly as a result of criminal charges having been laid.
