BLAXELL INQUIRY
REPORT FINDINGS
590. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for Education:
I refer to the governmentXXX ###XXXs
receipt on 3 August of the report of the Blaxell inquiry into allegations of child abuse and allegations of cover-ups at school
hostels in Katanning, Northam, South Hedland, Bunbury and Narrogin. When will
the government release the findings?

We have the report. I do not want to put a definitive time on
it, suffice to say it will be very soon. Discussions have taken place. I have
had meetings with the Country High Schools Hostels Authority and there will be
an appropriate time, which I imagine—I do not want to put weeks on it—suffice
to say—this may not placate the Leader of the Opposition—it
will be very shortly.
