282. Hon SIMON O'BRIEN to the Minister for Ports:
I thank ministers opposite for the
assistance of staff who assisted in the processing of this question. I am not
sure where it has gone. It was originally addressed to the Minister for
Environment, but it may have ended up with the Minister for Ports. My question
seeks information about the history of spillages in the Fremantle inner harbour
and Cockburn Sound.
(1) On how
many occasions have there been spills or unauthorised discharges into the inner
harbour and Cockburn Sound, and on what dates?
(2) What was the type of contaminant
on each occasion?

I have an answer that relates to the incidents that the Fremantle Port
Authority has reported.
(1)–(2) The
Fremantle Port Authority has reported 45 spills or unauthorised discharges into
the inner harbour and Cockburn Sound since 1 January 2014. I seek leave to
incorporate the details, which are in tabular form, into Hansard .
