I thank the member for some notice of the question. The
following information has been provided to me by the Minister for Training and
Workforce Development.
(1) There are 11 state training providers in Western
Australia.
(2) (a) Sixty-nine;
(b) Not
applicable. The Department of Training and Workforce Development does not use ''rural
areas'' to describe the location of campuses; and
(c) Seventeen.
(3)–(4)
The minister has approved the release of the ''Independent Review of the
Vocational Education and Training Sector in Western Australia: 2013–14''
report for public comment. It is anticipated that the report will be available
on the Department of Training and Workforce Development website next week.
After the public consultation period concludes, the minister will review the
feedback received and consider tabling the ''Independent Review of the
Vocational Education and Training Sector in Western Australia'' report.
