representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to finding 24 by the
Standing Committee on Legislation in its forty-eighth report of November 2020
that the Department of Health has advised a central
register of advance health directives is anticipated to commence in late
2021 or early 2022, as well as Hon Stephen Dawson's statement during
debate on the Guardianship and Administration Amendment (Medical Research) Bill
2023 that development of the register ''is happening now''.
