CANNABIS — SEXUAL FUNCTION
11. Hon
Dr BRIAN WALKER to the Minister for Women's Interests:
Noting that it is Valentine's
Day, and congratulating the Leader of the House on her new portfolio, I refer
her to research recently published by academics at East Carolina University,
building upon established work that suggests that women who regularly partake
of cannabis enjoy a healthier and more fulfilling sex life.
(1) Was the minister aware of this latest research, or
indeed aware of the underpinning work done in 2020 by doctors at the
Stanford University Medical Center, and published in the widely regarded Journal
of Sexual Medicine ?
(2) Now that
these papers have been drawn to her attention, will she follow the science, and
use her new role as Minister for Women's
Interests to advocate within cabinet for freer access to cannabis for women
across WA; and, if not, why not?

I thank the honourable member for some
notice of the question.
(1) No.
(2) No.
Honourable member, do not use me for your cute campaigning. You can do it on
somebody else; you are not going to do it on me!
