With regard to tender 3/99 advertised in The West Australian on January 22 2000 involving the recruitment and administration of service and security officers on the urban passenger rail system -
(1) Has the contract been let?
(2) If so, what is the number of service and security officers added to the Westrail system of suburban rail travel?
(3) How many security officers are now employed directly by Westrail?
(4) How many security officers belonging to outside security firms are hired by Westrail to carry out patrol duties?
(5) Do both groups have exactly the same training?
(6) Are both groups approved by the WA Police service?
(7) What is the total number of security officers available for railway duties in regard to Transperth operations?
(8) What is the total cost per annum of Westrail employed security officers?
(9) What is the total cost per annum of hired security officers from other areas?
