(a) One 2017-18 Review of Tariffs, Fees and Charges. This review finished in June 2018 when the Tariff Fees and Charges were gazetted by Parliament.
(b) Yes.
(c)(i)
1. Criminal Records Screening $30.00.
2. Fiona Stanley Hospital – Staff parking $3.70 per day.
3. Fiona Stanley Hospital – Visitor parking $3.00 per hour.
(ii)
1. $7.00 or 130.4% of cost recovery.
2. $0.94 per day or 134.2% of cost recovery.
3. $0.77 per hour or 134.2% of cost recovery.
(iii)
1. The dollar amount has remained historically consistent at $30 for many years and is set with input from WA Health’s Legal and Legislative Services. Both costs and the fee have been unchanged for several years and are forecast to remain so until the 2018-19 review if not beyond.
2. Staff parking fees at Fiona Stanley Hospital were unchanged from 2016-17 and are capped at a rate of $3.70 per day.
3. Visitor parking fees at Fiona Stanley Hospital were unchanged from 2016-17 and are capped at $21.00 per day (7 hours at $3 per hour). Any change in the daily rate must therefore be evenly divisible by 7 as parking meters are unable to calculate any change less than 10c an hour. Costs for parking at Fiona Stanley Hospital are apportioned across both staff and visitors and are set by Metropolitan Access and Parking Department.
The parking facilities are only 3 years old and cost recovery is expected to fall over the coming years as upgrades occur and maintenance costs increase.
