I refer to the Minister's answer to question without notice No. 31 from 7 March 2012, and I ask -
(1) Is the Water Corporation required to post tenders for work and the resulting contract details on the Tenders WA website?
(2) If yes to (1), why does a contract search and tender search of the Tenders WA website, using the terms 'Corporation', 'Water Corporation' and 'Watercorp' yield no results for Water Corporation tenders or contracts?
(3) If no to (1), will the Minister provide an answer to question without notice No. 31 in respect of any tender, contract or consultancy to provide engineering services or design information to the Water Corporation?
(4) If no to (3), why not?

(1) The Water Corporation, like other Government Trading Enterprises, is not required to post its tenders for work and the resulting contract details on the Tenders WA website.
(2) With respect to the matter raised in question without notice No. 31 of 7 March 2012, I advise that the Water Corporation has had no dealings with BG&E, BG Engineering or BE Structural Engineers. Both Parsons Brinkerhoff and Sinclair Knight Mertz are members of the Corporation's panel of preferred suppliers for the provision of design and engineering services - a right that these companies won through a routine competitive bidding process. Both of these companies have won contracts for such services over recent years, competing for the work against other members of the panel.
