PARTNERS
IN RECOVERY PROGRAM
236. Hon ADELE FARINA to the
Minister for Mental Health:
(1) Is the minister aware that the Partners in Recovery
program is due to end on 30 June 2016?
(2) Which providers in the lower south west currently provide
the Partners in Recovery program?
(3) Has any
analysis been undertaken to determine the impact of the cessation of the
Partners in Recovery program on the NDIS My Way and people with mental illness
living in the lower south west; and, if yes, what were the findings?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(2)
The Partners in Recovery program is an initiative of the commonwealth
government. Any detailed questions regarding the program should be directed to
the commonwealth minister.
I am aware that the National
Mental Health Commission has reviewed mental health expenditure in all states
and I have written to the commonwealth Minister for Health to request a copy of
the review.
(3) WA NDIS My
Way does not provide medical or other clinical or support services for people
still engaged in recovery from a mental illness. These are provided through
health and specific mental health programs.
