For each department and agency within the Premier’s portfolios, since 10 March 2011:
(a) how many vehicles are allocated to the department or agency;
(b) what washing arrangements are provided for each vehicle;
(c) if any vehicle is commercially cleaned, please advise:
(i) the cost breakdown for each vehicle and cleaning bill;
(ii) how often each vehicle is booked in to be commercially cleaned;
(iii) the address where the vehicle is cleaned; and
(iv) whether vehicles are cleaned during office hours;
(d) what detailing arrangements are provided for each vehicle;
(e) if any vehicle is commercially detailed, please advise:
(i) the cost breakdown for each vehicle and cleaning bill;
(ii) how often each vehicle is booked in to be commercially cleaned;
(iii) the address where the vehicle is cleaned; and
(iv) whether vehicles are detailed during office hours; and
(f) can the Premier please provide a subtotal of a vehicle’s cleaning costs for each department or agency?

Government agencies in the Premier's portfolio advise for the timeframe 10 March 2011 - 1 November 2011;
Department of the Premier and Cabinet:
(a) As at 1 November 2011, 148 vehicles were allocated to the Department, including Ministerial, operational and vehicles provided to Members of Parliament.
(b - e ii) Minister's vehicles and the Leader of the Opposition's vehicle are routinely cleaned and detailed by employees from the Executive Transport Services Branch as part of their duties. Responsibility for maintenance of the remaining vehicles in the Department's vehicle fleet lies with the individual vehicle custodian. This includes responsibility to keep the vehicle clean and in a roadworthy state. Services are available to vehicle custodians through fleet fuel card arrangements at selected car wash facilities. Responsibility for maintaining vehicles provided to members of parliament lies with individual members with costs met through fleet fuel card arrangements or by individuals
(e iii) Government Garage at Dumas House is used to clean Minister's vehicles. Other vehicles are cleaned at facilities authorised under fleet fuel card arrangements.
(e iv) Minister's vehicles and the Leader of the Opposition's vehicle are routinely cleaned and detailed by employees from the Executive Transport Services Branch as part of their duties.

Public Sector Commissioner:
(a) 15
(b) Fuel card. The Executive Transport Services Branch washes and cleans the Public Sector Commissioner's car on an ad hoc basis at no cost to the Commission.

(a) Department of State Development has 23 vehicles in the metropolitan fleet and 5 vehicles located at overseas offices.
(b) The Metropolitan fleet drivers have, as an option, the use of a BP carwash facility. Overseas fleet drivers use local carwash facilities.

Gold Corporation:
(a) 3 vehicles; 1 utility vehicle for carrying goods and 2 cars for staff travel between the mint and refinery.

(b) All vehicles are kept clean and tidy by officers who have been assigned to the vehicle. When appropriate, car wash services are procured to clean a vehicle using the Fleet fuel card.
