I refer to the Department of Planning's regional strategic planning, and in particular the sub-regional planning strategies and the development of an urban consolidation plan, initially proposed for public release in 2013: (a) what is the nature of the delay for the detailed sub-regional planning strategies, for example the Peel sub-regional strategy; (b) why are the affected local government authorities not being consulted in respect of the sub-regional strategies, as the Director General of Planning initially advised they would be; (c) can the Minister guarantee that the Department of Planning and the Western Australian Planning Commission will consult with local government prior to the public release of the sub-regional planning strategies; and (d) has the Department of Planning or the Minister considered the impact of the delay on growing Regions such as Peel?
