In spite of the Minister’s predecessor refusing transparent access to the full financial deals behind Eventscorp’s only $3 million sponsorship, the poorly attended One Movement Festival, I ask:
(a) as the main Saturday night concerts of the festival could only attract 1,647 paying customers with 4,017 free tickets in attendance – that is, 71 percent of the audience at an event that the Minister’s predecessor claimed was one of her major tourism drivers – will this Minister step in and review proposals to fund One Movement for up to another $1 million this year;
(b) given that, as the Minister responsible for Healthway, he did not renew Healthway’s sponsorship for last year’s One Movement, what will be the real tourism benefit of One Movement for Western Australia; and
(c) if the Minister is confident of the festival’s tourism value and intends to fund it this year, will the Minister now table the full financial information and audits of One Movement’s first two festivals?
