1265. Hon Dr BRIAN WALKER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer the minister to section
164(l)(a) of the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2019, which requires the minister
to review the operation and effectiveness of said act as soon as practicable
after the second anniversary of the day upon which that section came into
operation, which I take to have been 1 July 2021.
(1) Has a review commenced; and, if
not, on what date can we expect one to commence?
(2) What form will the review take and how will it be
advertised?
(3) How can interested parties and
individuals contribute to such a review?
