I refer to water

are currently being assessed by the Department of Water; (b) for each application, will the Minister detail the area and
volume, and whether they are for

currently licenced to be used in the Kimberley; (e) how much water is being removed from the Fitzroy River and
any other rivers or wetlands in
the Kimberley; (f) have any water license applications in the Kimberley been rejected in the past four years; (g) if yes to (f), will the Minister list the rejected applications
along with the amount of water sought

(e) The metered abstraction from the Fitzroy River and Tributaries is 2.479765 gigalitres. Metered abstraction in other surface water areas is 269.500787 gigalitres.
(f) Two groundwater applications have been rejected between 1 Jan 2019 and 31 December 2022.
(g) These applications were rejected due to insufficient supporting information to determine the potential impacts to the water resource and environment.
