COMMUNITY RESOURCE
CENTRES
1005. Hon DIANE EVERS to the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the government's
commitment to provide $13 million in funding per annum to community resource
centres in the 2019–20 budget.
(1) Given that
the CRCs' existing service contracts will expire on 30 June 2020 and
the need to provide job certainty to staff, has the Department of Primary
Industries and Regional Development determined a process for the allocation of
funding beyond this date?
(a) If yes, what
is the process and has the department advised the CRCs when it will commence?
(b) If no, when will the department
determine the process and advise the CRCs?
(2) Given that
Linkwest funding will cease on 31 October 2019 and was subject to an
evaluation, has the department finalised the evaluation?
(a) If yes, will the minister please
table the report outlining results; and, if not, why not?
(b) If yes, when
will the department confirm funding for Linkwest so that it can continue to
provide valuable support services to CRCs beyond October 2019?
(c) If no, when will the department
finalise the evaluation and consult with Linkwest?
