I refer to the shared pedestrian and cycle path behind the RAC Arena, and I ask: (a) Has a traffic consultant been engaged to undertake a traffic safety assessment of the path; (b) If yes to (a): (i) Who has been engaged; (ii) What is the timeframe for the completion of this assessment; (iii) Will the assessment compare the existing cycling access in front of the Arena to the potential cycling access at the rear of the Arena; (iv) Will the traffic consultant liaise with WestCycle and City of Perth to address safety requirements once the path is reopened; and (v) To whom will the assessment results be made available; (c) If it is identified that the risk to pedestrians and cyclists is manageable and comparable to other pedestrian/cyclists interfaces, what is the estimated time required to reopen the path; and (d) In the event that the path is reopened to pedestrians and cyclists, will the path be maintained as a Principal Shared Path: (i) If no, why not?
