(1) Further to question 1227 (11 September 2013), of the 22 former Deloitte employees who are now employed by Western Power, how many of those employees were involved in the procurement of $12 million in contracts awarded by Western Power outlined in Question 7211 of 2012 and Question 1120 of 2013? (2) What steps did the Board or Management take to ensure there were no conflicts of interest in the procurement decisions?

Answer
(1) None were involved in awarding the tender.
(2) All Western Power employees are required to abide by Western Power employee Code of Conduct, which defines the standards for appropriate ethical and professional behaviour of all employees, including the declaration of real or perceived conflicts of interest.
Western Power employees who are involved in a Request for Tender evaluation process are required to complete a Conflict of Interest/Confidentiality form relevant to the particular request for Tender.
