The Remote Area Power Supply, Renewable Energy Water Pumping, and Rural Renewable Energy Programs are funded by the Commonwealth Government and administered in Western Australia by the Office of Energy. Rebates are paid by the Office of Energy and then recouped from the Commonwealth.
In 2009-2010, the Office of Energy expects to spend the following approximate amounts on rebates for these three programs:
Remote Area Power Supply Program: $8,500,000
Renewable Energy Water Pumping Program: $444,000
Rural Renewable Energy Program: $1,750,000.
