(a) The total amount of teacher aide time provided for primary students in 2008 was 3 436.41 Full-Time Equivalents (FTE)
(b) The total amount of teacher aide time provided for primary students in 2007 was 3 355.26 FTE.
(c) The total amount of teacher aide time provided for primary students in 2006 was 3 173.63 FTE.
(d) The total amount of teacher aide time provided for primary students in 2005 was 3 006.51 FTE.
(2) As at March of each of the following years:
(a) The total amount of teacher aide time provided for secondary students in 2008 was 1 014.02 FTE.
(b) The total amount of teacher aide time provided for secondary students in 2007 was 940.38 FTE.
(c) The total amount of teacher aide time provided for secondary students in 2006 was 874.13 FTE.
(d) The total amount of teacher aide time provided for secondary students in 2005 was 812.08 FTE
(3) As at March of each of the following years:
(a) 4784 teacher aides (persons) were employed in primary schools in 2008.
(b) 4683 teacher aides were employed in primary schools in 2007.
(c) 4476 teacher aides were employed in primary schools in 2006.
(d) 4273 teacher aides were employed in primary schools in 2005.

(a) 1347 teacher aides were employed in secondary schools in 2008.

Teacher aides in the above answers refer to employees covered under the Education Assistants General Agreement 2007 and includes: Aboriginal and Islander Education Offficers (AIEO's), Teachers Aides, Education Assistants - Special Needs and Bus Wardens.
