I refer to the construction of the State Barrier Fence Esperance extension, and I ask: (a) what progress has been made on the approximate 140 kilometre gap in the Salmon Gums section; (b) what payments have been made to any fencing contractor for work undertaken; (c) has an Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) with the Ngadju Native Title Aboriginal Corporation been agreed; and (d) have all environmental and heritage approvals for the barrier fence extension been granted?

(a-b)    The 143 kilometres of Section 3 that encompasses the Salmon Gum block remains incomplete.
(c)        Negotiations with the Ngadju Native Title Aboriginal Corporation regarding construction of this section of the State Barrier Fence are ongoing.
(d)       The project received environmental approval in 2019. Heritage approval is yet to be finalised.
