parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
(1) Aside from
the service contract being negotiated with St John Ambulance, is the government
currently reconsidering or negotiating the delivery of any other patient
transfer services?
(2) If yes to (1) —
(a) which patient transfer
services; and
(b) have regional hospitals been
consulted about their patient transfer needs?

Health is currently undertaking an open and competitive procurement process for
the provision of road-based non-emergency inter-hospital patient transport
services in metropolitan Perth. This procurement process is in the evaluation
stage.
(b) Yes, they have.
