(2) Did the City of Perth provide evidence or documents backing up its decision not to include a bike path in the road design on St George’s Terrace?
(3) If no to (2), did the Department of Transport ask for supporting documents or evidence?
(4) If yes to (2), could that information be tabled in Parliament?
(5) Did the Department of Transport and the City of Perth discuss how cyclists who work on St George’s Terrace could safely access their offices without a designated cycle path?
(6) If yes to (5), what were the outcomes and/or conclusion of these conversations?
(7) Are there plans for any cycle lanes along Williams Street and Wellington Street?
(8) If no to (7), why not?
(9) If yes to (7), could the Minister please provide further details and timeframes?
(10) Does the Department of Transport have any plans, or is aware of any plans, to increase the number of bicycle racks on St George’s Terrace?

Department of Transport
advises:
(1) St George's Terrace has many bus stops between William and Barrack Streets which do not make it a conducive or safe area for cycling.
(2) No
(3) The Transport Portfolio agencies (Department of Transport, Main Roads Western Australia and Public Transport Authority) and City of Perth agreed that this section of the terrace should provide for bus priority.
(4) Not applicable
(5) Yes
(6 - 8) The City of Perth is in the process of developing a CBD bike plan with the input from the Department of Transport.
(9) This question should be directed to the City of Perth.
(10) There was some additional bicycle parking installed recently.
