(2) About 382 hectares of freehold land within site 383 is currently reserved in the Western Australian Planning Commission’s (WAPC) Metropolitan Region Scheme for “Parks and Recreation”. It is intended by the WAPC that, when eventually purchased using the Metropolitan Region Improvement Fund, this land would be added to the National Park. (3) The WAPC’s proposed Clarkson-Butler Amendment No 992/33 to the Metropolitan Region Scheme includes adjacent to the National Park, some 190 hectares of freehold land and about 47 hectares of Crown reserves land within site 383 as “Parks and Recreation”. The WAPC intends that this would also eventually be added to the National Park when the Amendment proceeds to finalisation and as the freehold land is purchased. (4) See (2) and (3).
