NORTH MANDURAH PRIMARY SCHOOL — INTENSIVE ENGLISH CENTRE
I have a supplementary question. Given the minister mentioned in her answer that she will look into this, will she immediately reverse the decision or, indeed, commit to providing extra resources to classroom teachers, who will be required to take on this responsibility for ESL children in the Peel region? Dr E. CONSTABLE

I have undertaken to look into the questions asked by the member for Mandurah, and I will do that as quickly as I can. Mr D.A. Templeman : There are many anxious parents who have been talking to me. Dr E. CONSTABLE : I am sure there are. When I get that information, I will make my judgement about whether the decision should be reversed. I can assure the member that funds are committed in this budget to assist children with English as a second language, and I will look into it, particularly in relation to the member for Mandurah’s school.
