SUICIDE
PREVENTION INITIATIVES
94. Hon STEPHEN DAWSON to the Minister
for Mental Health:
I refer to the $4.32 million budget
allocation for suicide prevention initiatives in 2015–16:
(1) What is the value of funding
spent to date and what is the breakdown of the expenditure?
(2) How has the remainder of the
2015–16 funding been allocated?
(3) In 2013 Youth
Focus was allocated $2.5 million over five years to help young people and
school communities overcome issues associated with self-harm, depression and
suicide. What has been the breakdown of funding over the five years and can the
minister advise whether this funding forms part of the suicide prevention
funding announced in the 2015–16 budget?
