I refer to the announced changes to the Government’s procurement policies that exempted Aboriginal enterprises from the ‘Open and Effective Competition’ policy, announced by the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Minister for Finance on 9 November 2012, and I ask for every agency under the jurisdiction of the Deputy Premier: (a) how many Aboriginal businesses have entered into contracts with Government agencies pursuant to these changes; (b) how many contracts have been entered into with Aboriginal businesses pursuant to these changes; (c) what is the average size of the contract that has been entered into as a result of these changes to the Government’s procurement policies; and (d) how many projects were awarded to Aboriginal enterprises for capital projects and what was the average size of each capital project?
