(1) No, this site is not registered as a licensed premises. (2) Answered by (1). (3) Yes, this site has been used for waste disposal. Earlier in April 2003, the Town of Port Hedland conducted an investigation of this site following a complaint received by a neighbour. Council served a notice under the Health Act 1911 to collect and remove the waste within a 48 hour timeframe. All waste was removed within this period. The Department of Environment has written a follow-up letter to the owner of the property to ensure they are aware of their obligation under Part V of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 to dispose of waste at a facility licensed as a landfill by the Department.
