In October 2005 I sent a letter to the Minister for Health questioning the 12-18 month waiting list at the pain management clinic at Fremantle Hospital. I received a response on the 11 April 2006, which confirmed that this was the case. Can the Minister please advise -
(1) Why it took six months to receive a response that only confirmed the waiting times that I had written in the original letter?
(2) How many medical and allied health workers by occupation are working at each of the pain management clinics at -
(a) Fremantle Hospital;
(b) Royal Perth Hospital; and
(c) Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital?
(3) How many people have been treated at the pain management clinic at each of -
(a) Fremantle Hospital;
(b) Royal Perth Hospital; and
(c) Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital,
in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005?
(4) How many people are currently on the waiting list for treatment at the pain management clinic at -
(a) Fremantle Hospital;
(b) Royal Perth Hospital; and
(c) Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital?
(5) How many people on the waiting list for -
(a) Royal Perth Hospital; and
(b) Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital
reside south of the river?
(6) Which Hospitals are being included in the review of outpatient clinic operations and services?
(7) When did the review of outpatient clinic operations and services commence?
(8) When is the review of outpatient clinic operations and services going to be completed?
(9) Considering the current waiting times will the Government commit to increasing the number of staff in the pain management clinic south of the river or to maintain two clinics south of the river once the Fiona Stanley Hospital is built?
(10) If not, why not?
