FRONTLINE 2020 — MINISTER FOR POLICE'S COMMENTS
898. Dr A.D. BUTI to the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the minister's comments last month, which
read —
As part of the Frontline 2020 reform model, our 24-hour,
seven-day-a-week district support teams have trained domestic violence support
people who are specialists in family and domestic violence available 24 hours a
day, seven days a week,
Yet Deputy Police
Commissioner Gary Dreibergs, in a letter to the Community Development and
Justice Standing Committee, said that the statement is not correct.
(1) Who is correct,
the minister or the deputy police commissioner?
(2) Will the minister correct the record for
once again misleading the house yesterday about broadening the definition of
domestic violence relationships?
