SCHOOL NETWORKS
629. Hon ED DERMER to the Minister for Education:
I refer to the then
Minister for Education's media statement of 7 September 2010 in
relation to the establishment of 75 school networks. For each educational
region —
(1) How many
networks have been established?
(2) Which schools
coordinate each network?
(3) What is the total
amount of annual funding allocated for management of the school networks?
(4) How much additional annual funding is
granted to each coordinating school for coordinating their network?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) As at 30 July 2012, there were 70 networks.
(2) I table the attached spreadsheet.
(3)–(4)
The total amount allocated to regions for the management of the school networks
in 2011–12 was $2 045 909. Funding for school networks is included in
the budgets for regional offices. This allows regional executive directors
discretion as to the actual allocation of funds to those schools with the
network principal.
