Department of Transport (DoT) practical driving assessments, and ask: (a) what was the
average waiting time for a car, motorbike and heavy vehicle driving assessment
in the Perth metropolitan region for each of the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and as of 1 September 2018; (b) how many
practical driving assessments were conducted in each of the years 2013, 2014,
2015, 2016, 2017 and as of 1 September 2018; (c) how many
practical driving assessors in the Perth metropolitan region did DoT have for
each of the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and as of 1 September 2018; (d) are prospective
assessment candidates notified if another driving assessment is cancelled thus
opening up an assessment availability; (e) if no to the
above, why not; (f) how long has the current online booking system been in
place; and (g) when was the last audit conducted of this online
booking system?

(a) The online booking system is live and can be accessed 24 hours a day. Bookings are released by the Department of Transport (DoT) on a daily basis up to six months in advance. Bookings can be available from the next day to six months from now, and the time between making a booking and the test date varies daily.
