TRANSPORT (ROAD PASSENGER
SERVICES) REGULATIONS 2019
200. Hon SIMON O'BRIEN to the minister representing
the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the regulatory impact
assessment conducted in respect of the Transport (Road Passenger Services)
Regulations 2019.
(1) When was the
regulatory impact assessment carried out, when was it made public and how does
an interested party obtain a copy?
If the information is on the
department's website, I do not have a 12-year-old kid to help me, so if
the minister could, that would be nice!
(2) If the RIA is
not publicly available to date, will the minister table in the house the
consultation regulatory impact statement, the decision regulatory impact
statement and any other relevant accompanying documentation?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Decision
regulatory impact statements were prepared in May and July 2017. The documents
were published on the Department of Transport's website in March 2019.
I am happy to give an undertaking that I will ask the minister's office
to locate those and I will provide them to the member at a future sitting of
the house.
